How can I volunteer?

 Coaching

Each season we are in need of Coaches and Assistant Coaches for all teams. Coaches must fill out a background check to be rostered on a team. Experience is not needed, just a love and willingness to work with kids in the community.

There are also opportunities for parents to help out coaches by signing up to be a Team Parent or Team Manager and support coaches by helping them in areas that are needed. That may be helping set up equipment, scheduling snacks for younger players, sending emails, etc. These positions must also complete a background check and have 2 certifications to be on the roster.

Coaching signups are open during the registration period for that season.

Background checks can be completed:

Referees

There is shortage of referees in our area. If you are interested in becoming a referee for the younger or older divisions, please visit http://www.wareferees.org for more information.

PSC Board

Prairie Soccer Club and coaches are all volunteers. This means that it takes the work of many people to continue to provide soccer to kids in the community. It also takes the work of volunteers behind the scene to organize and coordinate with others to make it happen. You can help by attending board meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month. As a board there are a variety of ways to volunteer and take a deeper role in the club. You do not have to have a child playing to volunteer on the board or to coach.

TOP Soccer

TOP Soccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer, is a community- based training program for players 4 years of age and older, who have a cognitive and/or physical disability. You can volunteer by becoming a buddy/mentor to work one on one and as a group under the TOP Soccer coordinator. This is a program is not scheduled currently.

Parades

Prairie Soccer Club also takes part in the annual Christmas in the Park Parade the first weekend in December. Volunteers can help by assisting planning and taking part in the parade.

To volunteer, please email the Club Manager at  pscmanager@outlook.com or the PSC Board at board@yelmpsc.org for more information
